Maddie got to go to her first Round-up this year. She loved it! I was amazed that she sat through three and half days of the rodeo. She loved watching the grand entry she thought that was pretty cool. I was so excited to take her and she even got to wear my boots and wranglers that I use to wear when I was her age. She loves her red boots she would wear them all time if I would let her. We can't wait to see how excited she is to watch the rodeo next year.

Well Labor day weekend we set off to have some fun! We decided to go hiking. It was maddies first time to go in her new backpack we got. Mike did the honors of packing her and I am glad he decided to because if his legs got sore the next day then I would have not been able to walk. We ended up driving down to Multnomah Falls and went on some of the trails right off the old highway. We had a great time even though it rained the whole weekend we still made the best of it. I guess you could say that I am glad it was not real hot.

We went to California a few weekends ago. We wish it would of been for fun but instead we went down for Mikes grandmas funeral. We miss you Grandma Scotch! We still had a good time like we always do when we get together with the family in Cali. It was great to see some of the family we have not seen in a long time.

We have been keeping very busy this summer and I love it. Soon enough we will be locked up in the house because it is going to be to cold to go outside. Maddie loves to be outside as soon as you open the door she is grabbing her shoes. I took maddie to her first public swimming pool and she loved it. The pool is for little kids so it is only 1ft at one end and 2ft at the other so she thought that was pretty cool that she could touch the bottom. She loves the water. She is keeping us very busy with her climbing and her running. She is not speaking yet but she has her own language only she know what she is saying. It hard to believe that she is going to be 19 months this month. Time goes by so fast before we know it we will be planning her second birthday. Life is such and adventure with her and we love it!

This was maddies first camping trip we took her on and she had a blast. We took her to Wallowa Lake. It rained almost the whole weekend but we made the best out of what we had. We did not care about the weather we just wanted to get out of town so we packed up our little camper and headed up the mountain. We were joined by the Been family. We all had such a good time it has been a while since we all got together and done something so we just dropped everything and away we went. I want to have more trips like this. The memories I have when I was little and all the camping we did was so much fun I want maddie to have the same memories.

Dang Computer!

Well seems how my computer is not letting me download pictures right now I will fill you in on our busy life. Maddie is getting big she is now 16 months and she is acting like she is already two just can not talk yet. She is walking all over and working real hard on the running. Not much sitting around with having her in our lives. We are having so much fun with her though. She is great entertainment for us she loves to be the center of our attention. Mike and I have been busy with working and just being a family. We are trying to do as much outside activities as we can before the summer is over. It has been going so fast that I do not want to miss out on anything. My thought is you have all winter to be inside so lets enjoy the sun while we can. Well I am hoping to get my computer fixed soon so I can post some pictures of my little monster. Hope everyone is having a good summer!
