MESSY!

I know I have used this picture before but I just love it.
Maddie can get it every where!

Breakfast face!

Maddie has discovered that food can be put all over her face. She is having so much fun puting the food in her mouth and then taking it out to look at it. We have had some messy meals. There is no way you can get mad because it is so funny to watch her figure out some new things to do with her food. The good thing is she cleans right up.. Some of the meals will call for a bath as soon as we are done. Which she loves because taking a bath is one of her favorite things to do. There are some foods that just do not come off as easy as others. We are just happy she loves to eat.

SWINGING!!!

You are looking at one happy girl!

Maddie loves her new swing she got for her birthday. We can not wait for the weather to get better so we can spend more time outside. We are going to enjoy watching maddie learn some new things this summer. We love to be outdoors so I am sure I am going to have a hard time getting maddie to stay inside. We are so ready for it to be warmer so we can show her the great outdoors.

Mikes Birthday!

Mike with all of his girls!
Mike in his birthday hat!

Mikes Birthday is just two days before Maddies. Mike always says his birthday is no longer in the picture now that we have maddie. Which he does not care but I do care I do not want him to be left out every one else gets to have a party so he is always going to have one. So we all got together at the home town pizza polar and had a great time like we always do when the familys get together.

Maddie Turned ONE!

Not sure of her cake!

Starting to like it!
Really loving it!

Really Really Lovin it!

I can not believe that Maddie turned ONE! She Loved all the attention at her party. I must say she is a little social butterfly. Which is good that way she can get to know her friends and family. Her party was so much fun we had a great turn out and she got some of the cutest gifts. She was a little unsure of the cake thing but when she figured it out she did not want us to take it away. Her Aunt Kris made her a SPECIAL cake. I did not want her to have her first birthday to be a big sugar high for her. We have been really good and not giving her sugar because soon enough she will be getting her fill of it.. Our first year with Maddie has been a roller coaster only in the beginning and then it went to hibernation. People say that your life changes when you have kids and now I know what they are talking about.. I did not know at first now I know what they are talking about. It has only changed for the better. Before Maddie we could plan ahead and sometimes we did not even know what we were going to do on the weekends now we already know. I enjoy knowing that our weekend plans have Maddie in them now and I would not change anything about my life right now. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter. On our jounery in the beginning I wondered if my life was going to change for the better of for the worst and I am so thankful that is has turned out for the better. I want nothing more in life than to watch my daughter grow and to have a happy heathly marriage. I love what God has gave us and can not wait to see what he has to give us in our future with Maddie. We have had a very low key first year with her so she would not get sick. She has only had one runny nose and I want to keep it that way for a while. I can not wait to have some summer fun with Maddie and show her the great outdoors. We love you Maddie more than words can say!

Maddie rockin out in the bathtub!

Each week Maddie is growing up and doing something new everyday. I love to watch her try and figure out things. She is an excellent crawler and she pulls herself up very well. We have had to do some baby proofing but I want her to go where she wants so she can learn new things. We just had our check-up in Portland with the theripist and everything went great. She is doing so well and they were inpressed that she did not even show any signs that she was a premmie. We were so happy to hear that because as a parent you never know what to look for. We may not see what they see and sometimes you tend to look past those little things and not think that it is a problem. We are so blessed to have a strong healthy girl in our lives. She is weighing 17lbs 7oz so she is not gaining weight very fast because she is so active and her intake has stayed the same. She is loving food though so I try and make up the difference on giving her fatty foods. Soon enough I will wonder were my 17lbs baby went. So I do not rush things and enjoy every moment with her.
